Headlight Restoration

Headlight restoration is a process of reconditioning your worn cloudly lenses to a like new state.

A series of passes are made with specialized sanding pads removing the oxidation from the plastic lens caused by damaging uv rays and other natural elements. A special chemical polymer is applied to polish the lens then a coating agent is applied to protect the lens in the future.

It is likely your older vehicle had glass lenses. A benefit of glass lenses is the natural resistant oxidation properties they contain against deteriorating UV rays, a draw back however is the limiting design configurations they can be applied in. Modern vehicles use types of polycarbonate lenses due to the expense and design limitations of glass lenses as it is rather difficult to contour glass cheaply to the aerodynamic form of newer vehicles.

Certainly we can restore a variety of plastic lenses; tailights, corner lights, 3rd brake lights, bed lights, trailer lights etc dependent on their construction materials or methods.
